Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using StoryPress, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use StoryPress.

Who can use StoryPress

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian to create an account. You set up StoryPress on behalf of your child and are responsible for supervising their use. Children do not create their own accounts.

Your account

Please keep your sign-in details and parent PIN confidential, and let us know if you think your account has been used without your permission. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Subscriptions, billing & cancellation

StoryPress offers a free tier and paid plans (currently Starter and Family). Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled in line with the applicable app-store rules and any consumer rights you have under local law.

Your child's creations

The stories and artwork your child makes belong to your family. You grant StoryPress permission to store, display and process this content only as needed to provide the service to you — for example, to save it to your bookshelf or prepare it for printing.

AI-assisted stories

Some stories are generated with the help of AI and reviewed for safety before your child sees them. AI can occasionally produce unexpected results, so a parent should supervise. StoryPress is a publishing and vocabulary-exposure tool intended for shared family enjoyment and learning — we do not guarantee specific learning outcomes.

Using StoryPress responsibly

Please use StoryPress only for its intended, lawful purpose. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, access it in unauthorised ways, copy or resell it, or misuse other people's information.

Our content & brand

StoryPress — including the app, its characters (such as Jini), designs, word and story content, and software — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use StoryPress for your family.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your family's information and forms part of these terms.

Service availability & changes

We work hard to keep StoryPress available and to improve it, which means features may change over time. We may update these terms; if we make a significant change, we will let account holders know, and continued use means you accept the updated terms.

Disclaimers & liability

StoryPress is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and limit our liability for any loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you.

Ending your use

You can stop using StoryPress and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached, or where necessary to protect users or comply with the law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where StoryPress is operated. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply to you under your local law.
